Circleg Certification Training Program

We provide a holistic training program for P&O professionals which enables participants to become certified in the Circleg technology. Take a look at our 2nd successful training program in Uganda.

In 2023, we proudly launched the Circleg Certification Training Program in collaboration with EKFS and Human Study, with the goal of empowering prosthetists across Africa through a holistic prosthetic care approach. Our first cohort, held in partnership with A.I.C. Kijabe, was a success – training 10 prosthetists from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda using the  blended learning method of Human Study focused on Circleg Technology and ischial containment socket manufacturing. This holistic approach included essential inputs on prosthetic fitting, physiotherapy, and psycho-social support, ensuring sustainable and effective care for amputees.

Building on this success, we launched the second edition of the program this year, welcoming participants from six countries across East and West Africa. The on-site training, hosted by the Newlife Prosthetic Center in Uganda, offered the perfect setting to implement our comprehensive approach. We are grateful for the expertise of Ursina Camenzind (Rehaklinik Bellikon), Dr. Alex Munyambabazi (Amputee Self-help Network Uganda), and our dedicated trainers, Tomislav, Prosper Kaya, and Lizzie Carey. A heartfelt thank you to all of our incredible partners who made this program possible and continue to elevate the quality of prosthetic care across Africa
