Circleg doesn't publish a fixed price because the cost includes your prosthetist's time, fitting, and follow-up care — not just the components. No. Every component in your prosthetic affects your comfort, alignment, balance, and safety. That’s why adjustments should always be done by a qualified prosthetist or technician. With normal use, Circleg components last at least 3 years. The modular design means individual parts — the foot, pylon, or cover — can be replaced when they wear, without replacing the whole system.
It depends on your amputation level and individual circumstances. Most below-knee users walk confidently within a few weeks. Above-knee fittings typically take longer — several weeks to a few months. Circleg components support K1–K3 activity levels, covering everyday mobility through light activity on varied terrain. Many users return to physically active work and daily life. Your prosthetist can advise you based on your specific goals.
Coverage varies by country and individual scheme. Some government programmes and NGOs in East Africa offer support for prosthetic fittings. The clinic you visit will often know what's available in your area — it's worth asking directly.
The Circleg One is primarily designed for adults. The Circleg comes in three sizes and therefore might be suitable for some teenagers. However for children, we recommend you to speak with a certified P&O clinic who can advise on the right options.
This is common, especially in the months after amputation. Your socket may need to be remade or adjusted — but the Circleg components themselves can be reused with a new socket.
The Circleg prosthetic system is suitable for both above-knee and below-knee amputations.
