Circleg has been awarded ISO 13485 certification for its Circleg One prosthetic system by the Swiss Safety Center. The certification confirms that Circleg's quality management system meets the internationally recognised standard for the design and manufacture of medical devices.
What ISO 13485 Means
ISO 13485 is the global benchmark for quality management in the medical device industry. Achieving this certification means that every stage of the Circleg One's development — from design and manufacturing to post-market surveillance — meets rigorous, independently verified standards. For healthcare providers, prosthetists, and the patients they serve, it is a mark of safety and reliability.
Quality should never depend on where you live.
Every person, everywhere, deserves access to safe, reliable, high-quality prosthetic care. That belief sits at the heart of why ISO 13485 certification mattered so much to Circleg — not because regulations demand it, but because people do.
Achieving this certification meant holding Circleg to the same standards of safety, traceability, and accountability regardless of the market. It meant rethinking processes, raising the bar, and committing as a team to doing things differently.
"Our mission is to empower individuals to live life to the fullest, irrespective of their physical challenges. ISO 13485 is our commitment that amputees everywhere can trust the Circleg One to meet the highest standards of safety and care," said Simon Oschwald, Co-founder of Circleg.
For Circleg quality is not optional. And access should never come at the cost of safety. View the certificate here.

A bold new chapter in disability inclusion is unfolding in the heart of nairobi. Social enterprise Circleg has launched Kenya’s first-ever billboard campaign featuring amputees — not as victims or symbols of pity, but as powerful, stylish, and unstoppable individuals.
