Winner of the SDG Award 2023
The Swiss Green Economy Symposium presented the SGES SDG Award for companies for the sixth time. On 7 September 2023 Circleg accepted the award.
With the SDG Award, the Swiss Green Economy Symposium honours solutions and projects that implement the United Nations› sustainability goals in a pioneering way. The aim of the award is to inspire courageous commitment and promote innovative projects that serve as role models. The 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals 2030 (SDGs) are the cornerstones of the Swiss Green Economy Symposium. With these goals, the UN also recognised the green economy as a central pillar of sustainable development for the first time. The Green Economy aims to make people’s lives better by creating wealth and happiness, while also taking care of the environment. In simpler terms, it’s about promoting the best possible quality of life in every way. On September 7th, 2023 Circleg accepted the SDG Award with honour.
Circleg contributes to the SDGs 1, 3, 8, 9, 10 and 12 with a core emphasis on freedom of mobility for disability inclusive development. We address the global demand for affordable, high-quality prosthetics with a special focus on economic, social, environmental and governance outcomes. We believe in sustainable resource management as key to success and an engine for innovation and growth. The provision of quality prosthetics increases the quality of life of amputees and their communities as it allows them access to new opportunities like education, work and social life. With our campaigns we focus strongly on the possibilities that life after amputation can ignite. Our prosthesis is designed with durability in mind, which is why the prosthesis is modular. Individual components can be exchanged or fixed, without the need to substitute the entire prosthesis. We are super proud to have the recognition of SGES. As a social enterprise we will always be driven by the goal of generating positive impact!
