About the Polycentric Knee
The Circleg Polycentric Knee is designed to support users across a broad range of mobility levels, from basic household ambulation to active community walking. Its polycentric architecture provides enhanced stance-phase stability at heel strike while increasing ground clearance during swing phase, contributing to a safe and efficient gait pattern. An integrated extension-assist spring and flexion damper support smooth gait dynamics and predictable swing control. The knee allows flexion up to 150°, facilitating everyday activities such as sitting and navigating varied environments. A protective knee cap shields the mechanism from dust and dirt while providing a natural appearance in both standing and seated positions.
Functionality with components from other manufacturers that feature compatible modular connectors has not been tested. Therefore, using Circleg components with third-party parts is not recommended, except for the socket connected to the residual limb.
The maximum weight for the Dynamic Knee is P5 - 110kg. This weight limit should not be exceeded for activities of daily life.
